I started this @robinhoodapp stock account a little over a month ago. Initially, my intention was to create a separate portfolio from my main investing accounts that I could share with all of you that follow me. I wanted to share my ideas, ask questions, create polls, to see who agreed, disagreed and why. I wanted to crowdsource ideas and get other people’s perspectives on the economy, the stock market, companies, technology, culture, investing, retirement, money, Bitcoin etc. to become a better investor.

That is still all true. But, after a few weeks, I began to realize something. There are a lot of people who find investing to be intimidating & complicated. That’s completely understandable. When I bought my first stock in 2010, I had no idea what I was doing. I lost the first $1,000 I invested in like 6 months, but I learned.

So what now? I want to share my experience with you and create a space where we can talk money and investing and grow together. I’ll freely share how I invest. Why? Good question, because there isn’t anyone I know personally doing it. Don’t get me wrong there are a few people I know personally who are active investors and will maybe showcase their wining investments from time to time. But nobody I know is actually showing their thought process, methods, strategies, progress, wins and losses in a meaningful way. There are a ton of experts out there that are great, I follow a lot of them and learn from them. But I think, sometimes it becomes less intimidating when you see someone you know doing it. Let’s be clear, I’m not special, everything I know I’ve learned from someone else so I’m not taking credit for any “special” strategies. You can literally find it online, Google, YouTube, Twitter etc.

This isn’t me telling you that you can become a millionaire day trading stocks overnight. Not at all. My hope is that some of you that have been on the fence with investing can see me doing it and say to yourself “if that dude can do it, anyone can do it” lol. I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes. “If not you, who? If not now, when?” - Dr. Eric Thomas

Let’s see where this takes us. 🚀

Happy birthday to this woman. I know there are many strong women out there but this one I get to see in action day in and day out. And it’s impressive. I mean let’s be honest, you gotta be something special to put up with all of my flaws. The way she loves me and the girls ALWAYS amazes me. If you know me, you know that I’m the type who thinks I’m good at almost anything and everything, but when it comes to being patient, gentle, sweet, considerate, and selfless, I have a lot to learn and a long way to go. These are all the qualities I admire about her, I always have. I’m drawn to her because she lives these qualities out in a way that “seems” effortless and she does it quietly but boldly. I’m jealous, I want to be great at those things, but I’m learning, I’m trying. Its always easier to write words than it is to live those words out. But my hope is to say less and to show more. To have more action than intention. @klemasters I love you more than I can express but I hope to show you more and more. Happy birthday babe! I hope you feel loved and celebrated. Here are some of my favorite pictures and memories.

Happy birthday Grace! Raise a glass for this girl, she’s 3 years old. She’s a mommy’s girl and I love seeing how much she loves her mom. She’s really smart and can be really stubborn. She’s sweet and loving. She’s shy and brave, she’s wonderful. She’s teaching me a lot of things about patience, kindness and gentleness. And because of that she’s making me a better person. Love you sweet girl.
