In Arusha, Tanzania there's the Polish Refugees Cemetery.

I didn't know what to expect when we were going there. Probably few run down graves. Maybe a sign. Maybe some information.

But I did not expect THAT.

To get to the cemetery we had to drive through very bumpy roads and plenty of fields. It seemed like a place that nobody remembers or cares about.

First thing we saw were white fence and black gate. The sign with Polish flag was old but not damaged.

The cemetery is kept clean and well organized. There are fresh flowers in the chapel. There are no weeds, trash or damage.

We talk to the groundskeeper. It's a Tanzanian man who has been looking after that place for around 20 years. Before him his father was looking after the place.

Graves are segregated by religion (Catholics there, protestants there, Jews there) but they're all in one place, basically next to each other.

After we crossed the gate, I was overwhelmed by feelings of... I don't know how to describe it. I was surprised because I didn't expect local people to care about this place this much.

I was happy that Polish refugees were taken in and looked after even after they died.

But then I felt overwhelming sadness... When Polish people needed a refuge, various countries took is in. After the war ended some Polish people stayed (around 1k in Tanzania) and called those places their home.

We were accepted by people we now despise, insult and discriminate against. Some of my fellow Poles feel superior with they hatred and white skin. They claim to be patriots and yet they express views similar to those who caused our ancestors to seek asylum in some African countries.

We were once in great need of place where we could feel safe and there were people who took us in.

Now those people who need help are from Afghanistan.

It's a test of our humanity which in afraid we're failing.

- I would like to have someone forever.
- Get a tattoo

Today is a funny day. I've been minding my own business, being content with my life, plowing forward and then...

My ex husband reached out to me.

I don't know nor care what he wants, but he's been fishing for few months now (threatening me with lawyer because I didn't reply to his message about the game he left at my house), trying to follow me on social media where he's not blocked yet and now he reached out to my friend.

After all this time all is left is to laugh. This situation is super entertaining for me.

But if you've ever wondered how toxic people try to poison their victim's life, this is how they do it. Trying to reach out and feel the ground even though they're no longer welcomed.

So if you're my friend and he knows you, feel free to block him - no need to give him a way in.
