Lica By Hitesh Trehon – A Family Saga Spanning Three Generations

Format: Paperback

Publication Year: 2021

ISBN-10: 1638508615
ISBN-13: 978-1638508618

Pages: 374

Rating: 4.3/5

It is not every day that people come across a book whose story and characters tend to overpower them long after they have finished reading it. Lica by Hitesh Trehon is one such book, and readers tend to feel a sense of connection with it.

Plot:

Mulkhraj Dev, Raj Dev, and Inder Dev represent the three generations of the Dev family. The story covers the campus life, art, medicine, and business of these characters. Yes, it also includes the people around them. It also sheds light on the schemes and betrayals within each profession. The plot narrates how the personal lives of these characters create an impact on Inder Dev. It is an enjoyable insight into a typical Indian Hindu family, its cultural beliefs, marriages and customs, and their relevance in the changing time and world.

Verdict:

This is a must-read book for people who want something that puts them in a happy space while also providing an engrossing reading experience. I give it a rating of 4.3 /5 and wish Hitesh all the best for its success. I must say that LICA is a book which stands perfect for readers of all ages starting from young adults and above.

Dare To Live By Himanshu Bhatia – A Relatable And Exciting Contemporary Corporate Fiction

Rating: 4 on 5

While many books have been written around the theme of the challenges faced by corporate workers, only a handful of them managed to capture its true essence. Dare To Live by Himanshu Bhatia belongs to the latter category and makes for an interesting read. I want to mention one thing here. I already read the very first book of the author, “Just Missed.” Well, I liked the way he narrates the story. It is the only reason that I picked the second book of the author with the expectation that it will satisfy the reader in me. The Dare To Live review is now up for you to read.

Plot:

Atharv, a qualified management graduate and a free-spirited soul, enjoys a happy married life and a successful career in the corporate world. Then he is assigned to work as the assistant of Mandira, who in addition to being egoistic, and insane is also an extremely difficult and horrible boss. To make matters worse, the world gets hit by COVID-19, and he contacts the disease when Mandira forces him to come to the office even during the pandemic. As things become unbearable for Atharv, he comes up with a brilliant plan to beat Mandira. So, what next in the story? Will Atharv manage to overcome the intentions of Mandira, or will turn weak in the hands of time? My dear book lovers pick the book and read to know.

The best thing about the book is that it does not beat around the bush but rather comes directly to the point.

Final Verdict:

This is a must-read book for people looking for something interesting and engaging, and I give it 4.0 /5 while looking forward to Himanshu’s latest work. If you are that traumatized employee because of your horrible boss, then do read this book.

Dilip Kumar- The Legendary Star Bid Adieu To His Fans and Indian Cinema At The Age Of 98

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar bid adieu, at the age of 98 on 7th July 2021 and left his fans heartbroken. He was suffering from prolonged illness and breathed his last at Hinduja hospital. Dilip Kumar Ji moved in and out of hospitals for the last couple of years because of multiple health issues. He remained the first superstar of the Bollywood Industry.

If we look back at his origin, we will find that this veteran actor was born as Yusuf Khan, and there is a story behind the transformation of Yusuf Khan to Dilip Kumar. He wished to enter the film industry with a new identity and that many of us know. But once giving an interview to Mahendra Kaul way back in the year 1970, he said that his name change happened because he was scared of his father’s beatings. His father was not in favor of the movie industry, and so Dilip Ji made an entry with a name change.

Jawar Bhata was his first film. It was directed by Amiya Chakravarty, in the year 1944. He grabbed the attention of many in the industry with his acting skills. The surprising fact is that Dilip Kumar did just a handful of 60 films only in his career spanning five decades. Yes, he was a choosy actor and picked a script only if that offers him the opportunity to bring out his acting potentials.  Each role of his remained memorable in the pages of Bollywood cinema.

Indiacafe24 offers a heartfelt tribute to this legendry star of Indian Cinema. Rest in peace Sir, and will be remembered in our prayers.

It is how we develop our personalities as adults. The perceptions that we make about life from childhood build such concepts which some things turn difficult for others to understand. If you are one, who experienced such circumstances in real life will find it easy to understand why someone is behaving differently than others. The story starts with a past. Well, the past is from the year 1990. The story begins with a cold-blooded murder of a lady. A child found the body of the lady without any head.  The protagonist of the story is Komal. She started her career as an intern at the CBI headquarters. I believe by this time, you already recognized who Komal is. She failed to have a childhood similar to the one majority experience. Over a couple of years, she suffered so bad, and those experiences finally encouraged her to join forensics.  The Maharashtra bloody murder was her first case as an intern. She got the task to decode the leads. Right from there, the thrill element got introduced in the story. She discovered a critical match between some of the murder cases. That coincidence factor took the story to the next level. To know what next and who the killer is, do read the book and will love it. If I Hadn’t Met You By Shalini Ranjan – An Interesting Cocktail Of #love, #murder #mystery And The #supernatural   Format: eBook Publication Year: 2021 Asin: B0912FWLZC Pages: 72 Rating: 4.3/5 Only a handful of romantic books offer an interesting cocktail of love, the twists of a thriller and the mystery of the paranormal. In her eBook, If I Hadn’t Met You, author Shalini Ranjan manages to achieve this feat in an interesting and spell-binding manner. Plot: Trisha, experiences something unusual on her 18th birthday, and soon after she learns about Ambika, who claims to have died 18 years earlier. Ambika wants Trisha to fulfill her last wish of finding her mangalsutra and to go on a date with an extremely handsome man named Rudra Singh Shekhawat, who turns out to be Ambika’s son. What starts as a quest for a lost mangalsutra, soon turns into a journey of several crazy events, which ultimately lead Rudra to a horrific truth. Writing style:  The writing style followed by the author is simple and easy to understand. The narration style is crisp and the language used is simple. The book is well-paced and given its short length it can prove to be a great read over a lazy weekend. The title of the book perfectly matches its theme and storyline without actually revealing much about the story. Final Verdict: This is one book of its kind and is a mustread of fans of the thriller-suspense-romance genre and I give it 4.3/5. Mountain Mist &

Mountain Mist & #meghalaya A #travelogue perfect to win the hearts of travel lovers Rating: 5/5 It's a beautifully penned travelogue where the protagonist shared his experience of the Meghalaya trip, moving out from the hustle-bustle of Mumbai life. The entire stay of the protagonist so seamlessly presented that I was getting the feeling I am wandering amid the mountains of Meghalaya. I have not yet explored much of the northeastern part of India, but after reading this book, I wish to explore it real soon. I can feel the nature's beauty of Meghalaya and the soothing environment through the eyes of our protagonist.   Each place of the mountain state is described wonderfully as if a painter is coloring the canvas to capture the scenic beauty of Meghalaya. In the initial chapter of the book, the author described his co-passenger boarding the same flight. They all were visiting the land of Seven Sisters. The book narrates how the protagonist interacted with them to turn his journey entertaining. He got to know so many things about another beautiful state of Assam while flying to Meghalaya.   My verdict:   Travelogue can be so interesting, and I got to know it only after reading this book. I can visualize the natural beauty of the state of Meghalaya so well that I believe I can now guide a little to people who wish to explore this destination. The style and narration used in writing this book turned out to be the key point that will make this book popular among travel lovers quite well. The poetic lines in between the chapters increased my reasons to fall in love with this book. Character development and inclusion in the story done brilliantly, and trust me I loved that. For me, this book turned out to be a lesson. It will help me in reading the minds of people, and especially the travel lovers.    Do visit For full review :https://www.indiacafe24.com/book-reviews/mountain-mist-meghalaya-by-hanisha-raghunath-urvesh-bhatt-a-travelogue-perfect-to-win-the-hearts-of-travel-lovers/ Link also in Bio: #junereads  #JuneTBR  #bookstagramindia   #bookaddict   #booksofinstagram  #bookish  #bookreview  #bookwormlife   #bookstagramcommunity  #bookrecommendation  #bookoftheday

When Fate Conspires By Purvi Mehta – A Heart Tugging Romantic Novel With Some Interesting Twists

Format: eBook

Publication Year: 2021

Asin: B08SMR6GVC

Pages: 356

Rating: 4.5/5

Most love stories feature a love triangle, but only a few of them handle the conflict well. When Fate Conspires, a novel penned by Purvi Mehta, thankfully belongs to the latter category. I am not that much in favor of love stories these days because I read so much of this genre which I accidentally found to be that stereotyped man and woman love. But when I noticed this long-distance element in this book synopsis, I thought to give it a try. That’s how this review is coming up.

Plot:

Neel, the successful CEO of his own advertising company, is a passionate young man in a long-distance relationship with Tia. Then Neel hires Rashi, an excellent designer, and as the bond between the two grows stronger they start developing romantic feelings for each other, and Tia becomes irked. Neel struggles to express his feelings to Rashi as he feels bound by his commitment to Tia. As his personal life with Tia is in turmoil and his heart continues to pull him towards Rashi, Neel feels uncertain of what turn things will take?

Final Verdict:

This is a must-read book for people seeking sentimental gratification, and I give it 4.5 /5 while looking forward to Purvi’s latest work.

Tale Of Two Cities – A Timeless Classic By Charles Dickens

Publisher: Public Domain Books

Publication Year:

ASIN: B004EHZXVQ

Pages: 290

Rating: 4.5 on 5

Charles Dickens is one of the most celebrated writers of the 19th century and this year marks his 200th birth anniversary. I consider myself extremely fortunate to get the opportunity to read his famous book Tale Of Two Cities. Given the unique writng style of the author, I felt both excited and nervous when penning down the review of this book.

Despite having been set in the highly political backdrop of The French Revolution, the novel has a surprisingly antipolitical tone.  It highlights the fact that Dickens wrote books that were perceived as a suspenseful, comic, and sentimental work of literature. The book also highlights the authors mastery of characterization as well as his ability to present each scene in great detail using minimum words. That is why reading a Charles Dickens novel can prove to be a challenging task and may require the readers to mploy utmost concentration.

Tale Of Two Cities – A Timeless Classic By Charles Dickens Publisher: Public Domain Books Publication Year: ASIN: B004EHZXVQ Pages: 290 Rating: 4.5 on 5 Charles Dickens is one of the most celebrated writers of the 19th century and this year marks his 200th birth anniversary. Father’s Day – Honoring The Silent Love Of

Father’s Day – Honoring The Silent Love Of #fathers For Their Kids #fathersday #fathetsdaygiftideas #fatherdaughter #fatherdaughterlove While mothers are known to shower great love and affection on their children, fathers to be emotionally aloof and adapt a more disciplinary attitude towards their kids. Despite that there is no denying the fact that a father’s love for his child is almost equal to a mother’s love, if not more. However, while mothers do not shy away from expressing their love to the kids openly, fathers tend to be more reserved as many consider it against their manly character to show their emotional side publicly. It is to honor and celebrate this deep love for their kids, which fathers often hide in their heart, that Father’s Day is celebrated on 19th June every year across the globe. On this day, children present their fathers with gifts and other memorabilia to express their gratitude for the silent love that the man who made them always showers on them. Kids of all ages try to impress their male parent on this special and to assure them of the fact that they value their love and consider them to be equally important as their mothers.  There is a history behind this date dedicated for fathers. Teen Trilogy: Three Graphic Novels in One By Monisha K Gumber- A Real Sneak Peek On

Teen Trilogy: Three Graphic Novels in One By Monisha K Gumber- A Real Sneak Peek On #teenagers Lives · Publisher: Leadstart Publishing Pvt Ltd · Format: Kindle · ASIN: B08YQZJ1VR · Pages: 638 · Rating: 5 on 5 Simplicity is a word that I always prefer to have in my life. Being simple in no way makes you backdated or less knowledgeable for society. I again tasted the essence of simplicity when I picked the book Teen Trilogy: Three Graphic Novels in One by one, by Monisha K Gumber. Initially, the look of the cover page gave me the view it will be like any other teen love stories..... but no, I was wrong and am happy that I was wrong and still pick the book out of curiosity. As the name suggests, it’s a Trilogy …. Trilogy of 3 friends  My Verdict:  I am full-on impressed with the way the author penned down this trilogy. Seriously teenagers need to go with so many ups and down which many of us can’t think. Author Monisha beautifully presented the stories, which gave us true pictures of teen lives. It displayed how their desire gets overlooked by parents and how family malfunctioning creates a serious impact. The writing style so simple and so much free-flowing that anybody can enjoy reading the book. No use of any Oxford English and natural narration. The perfect way to connect with readers. Characterization….. Monisha, you just nailed it. The graphics …. It's just beyond fabulous, and for that, I will appreciate the author for finding that gem graphic artist Pankaj Singh Rathour. Last but not least- It’s a book which I will recommend to all irrespective of age and reading preferences. Author Monisha trust me, I am in love with your storytelling skill. All the best for your future books and yes, also for this too.
