Diet Culture:
It means that our society have been programmed to think the only way to achieve good health, well-being and social status is by making our bodies smaller – or what we call the “thin” ideal.
Diet culture creates a black and white dichotomy where food choices are “good” or “bad,” which in turn makes us feel good or bad. It is full of strict rules such as no carbs, no food after 7 PM, only organic foods, etc.
Some sneaky examples  of diet culture showing up are when people eliminate whole food groups in the name of  “wellness,” such as no carb living,  a “paleo” lifestyle or practicing “clean eating.”
Diet culture causes us to fear food, obsess over number on the scale and over calories, feel tremendous guilt about our choices, and for some, even develop eating disorders as we strive to lose weight.
Because of this many people believe they will be happy if only they could change their bodies: their weight, shape, size, and/or looks.
Hence, Diet Culture is there in every country from ages. But now its time to STOP it.
According to me all the body type is perfect till the time its not effecting anyone's health.
When it started effecting your health, it doesn't mean that now you have to starve or restrict your diet. But you need diet modification.

RECIPE NAME: Melon Jelly by @recipes.by.farida
DISEASE NAME: Gastroesophageal Reflux
Ingredients:
melon - 4 cups (chopped)
Gelatin - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1/2 cup (add more if you like it sweeter)
Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
Hot water - 1 cup
Cold water - 1/2 cup
Method
Take the gelatin in a sauce pan and add the cold water over it. Let it rest for couple of minutes till the gelatin gets fully soaked.
Add the hot water to this and keep stirring till the gelatin fully dissolves in the water.

Take big chunks of melon and blend it to a smooth puree. Strain this also into the same mixing bowl.
Add the lemon juice to this and mix everything together. Taste and add more sugar if needed i.e if the melon is not sweet enough.
Pour mixture in a mold ( you cane use glass or a bowl or anything else)
refrigerate it, the jelly may set in 3-4 hours.
Once set, serve it cool.

Recipe Name : Shepherd's Pie by @recipes.by.farida
Disease Name : Pica's Syndrome

Ingredients

Ingredients for the pie filling
1 Onion , finely chopped
4 cloves Garlic , finely chopped
2 Carrots (Gajjar) , peeled and diced
1 Green zucchini , diced into fine cubes
1 Red Bell pepper (Capsicum) , finely chopped
1 Yellow Bell Pepper (Capsicum) , finely chopped
6 Button mushrooms , diced
2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup Homemade tomato puree
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 cup Vegetable stock
Salt and Pepper , as per taste
1/2 cup peas
1/2 cup Rajma
200gm tofu (Crumbled)

Ingredients for the topping
30 grams Butter (Salted)
4 Potatoes (Aloo) , boiled and peeled
1 cup Milk , hot
Salt and Pepper , as per taste

METHOD
For Pie Feeling

1. Heat oil in a heavy bottom saucepan over medium heat, add chopped onion and garlic. Saute for a couple of minutes until onions turn translucent and are softened.

2. Next add chopped carrots, bell peppers, zucchini and peas. Saute for 3 - 4 minutes, vegetables are lightly softened and are shining with the moisture and oil.

3. Add in chopped mushroom, Crumble tofu, boiled Rajma and saute for another minute. Stir in the vinegar along with the tomato puree. You will notice the pie filling begins to release liquids and will look lightly saucy. Keep stirring until the vegetables get well coated with the tomatoes.

4. Season the pie filling with salt and pepper as per taste and stir in the hot vegetable stock. Stir the Shepherd's Pie mixture and allow it to simmer for about 10 - 15 minutes until vegetables are al dente and much of the liquid is evaporated, but yet the filling looks saucy.

For Potato Topping.

1. Place the boiled soft potatoes in a large bowl, add the salt, pepper and butter. Adding little milk at a time, use a fork and mash the potatoes until light and fluffy. Add the entire milk slowly until you get a smooth, non-lumpy consistency of the potatoes.
